This “Autumn Landscape” is dedicated to the great French / British impressionist Alfred Sisley and is a replica of his work “The Outskirts of the Fontainebleau Forest” (1885) , which, to my great pleasure, is in the collection of the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. This is my favorite Sisley landscape – very energetic and simply glowing compared to his usually soft, quiet, brooding and serene works.
